The hustle and bustle of class registration, gathering school supplies, clothes shopping, the anticipation of classes, and the welcome PTA meeting… All the traditions of the new school year.
Once the kids are back to school, it’s not done. Now your work begins. ( Yes you!– Because if you are reading this you are likely a volunteer).
Most schools have had major budget cuts in recent years and find greater need to fundraise to ensure vital programs. You may be a parent, a grandparent, a coach, or teacher, you may be on the PTA board, or on a fundraising committee, at some point you will be participating in a fundraiser. You may find yourself Googling “school fundraising ideas”, or asking others what fundraisers were successful at their school: candles, cookie dough, raffles, candy bars, gift wrap? It can be exhausting.
Have you thought about hosting a shoe drive fundraiser?
Let me tell you my story. Having been a busy mom of 3, a board member, a coach, and teacher, I have been involved with every imaginable fundraiser. In 2012 my son’s school football team was in desperate need to raise funds. The coach heard about a new idea, so we decided to try hosting a shoe drive. Our shoe drive raised over $8,000!!! And it was our team’s easiest and most successful fundraiser ever!
Since 2012, Angel Bins has helped facilite fundraisers for schools and charities, generating more than $1.8 million dollars in funds!
My name is Tammy, and I was so excited about our shoe drive success, I am a fundraising coordinator with Angel Bins. Please contact me, or a member of our team, and we will share our first hand experiences with success and coach you through hosting a successful shoe drive for your school. You can do this. We can help.
